US Blocked Greenhouse Cuts

The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, says Bush & Co. have again thwarted success in getting nations on board, and effectively blocked Greenhouse cuts. Instead of achieving success in coming to a consensus that we need to change our ways, our administration blocked Greenhouse cuts by blocking a key objective at the Climate Conference. We've blocked the proposal asking industrialized nations to cut emissions by 25-40 percent by 2020. Wow, obviously, that's impossible for us to undertake and had to block greenhouse cuts once again in the bud. It got lost in the news, perhaps because it's no surprise, but it's just getting old how Bush cannot join the world in taking responsibility for our polluting ways. We all know the facts, and we know that Bush is wrong, but we can't possibly accept a cut in emissions. So much for meaningful progress on yet another topic as long as Bush is drawing a government salary.
