President Bush just vetoed the bill expanding children's health care - again, thus he blocked children's health care. This is the second time our idiot-in-chief has thumbed his nose at Democrats and claimed to be watching spending. "Because the Congress has chosen to send me an essentially identical bill that has the same problems as the flawed bill I previously vetoed, I must veto this legislation too," Bush said. What gives with this guy? Can't he just take one for the team once in a while? Isn't it enough that he blocked children's health care once, but now has to do it again when he could have earned points for not blocking it. This was a bill aimed at providing insurance to 10 million children whose families cannot afford it, but now, he blocked children's health care again. For what weeks of a mistaken war is costing, we could insure these children for a year, and help bring the costs down after that. Congress worked together and got this second version together, but Bush being Bush, he blocked children's health care once again.
