Bank charges and Policies    Back to the homepage
Views: 1031 Report
I am so sick of the bank charges I constantly get for trivial issues. My bank (US Bank) charged me $7 a day because I had a bank card charge from months ago I had forgotten about make my balance negative $22. By the time I was aware of this, they had run it to minus $155. I deposited $26,000.00 in checks from another financial institution, but was told I had to wait 5 business days for half of it and 9 for the rest. It is all about them, and damn the customer. I drive a semi and cannot always get to my bank or get my mail. I have had them charge me $35 overdraft fees on $1.40 bank charge that they should have declined. It is very obvious to me they would rather honor the charge and make the $35 each instance then to decline it. Just common crooks is all they are.

bluegreen (1/3): Yeah, charges by these banks and credit card companies (not to mention the interest rates) are crazy-but here's a thought-why not invest in a laptop computer and do online banking? I hardly write a check anymore and pay no monthly fees to our credit union. You can check all your info 24/7 and pay bills over the 'net by debit card. Use ATMs all over the U.S. on your routes. I haven't been to a bank in years! Think about it and good luck! (report)
