Keep away from the office of Julia Desiree Pineda, endocrinologist in Washington, DC. I have a pituitary tumor and have been treated by her. I was reluctant to change doctors just because it's complicated (have to get all the records and so forth) but today was my last day there. I had an appointment at 2:30pm and at 3:15pm I started asking the people around me what time they had appointments. Some were waiting for their appointments since 1:15pm!! When she steps out for a second I pointed it out and all she could say was too bad, ignore the people there and go back to her office. This is not the first time this had happened. If you go to see her, expect to wait between 2-3 hours on average. Once she sees you, as soon as you step in, always in a bad mood she opens her laptop and just begins to type codes (which I assume are to charge the insurance company). She sent me for an MRI and some sonograms and after various email messages and phone calls I still had no response from her. I had to wait three months to know if my tumor had grown or not!! My advice, there are many endocrinologists in DC...find one that treats his/her patients with respect. Keep away from DR. Julia Desiree Pineda.

I have seen Dr.Pineda for many years and she is a great doctor. I have many medical problems and have seen many doctors. She is the most thorough doctor I have seen and will spend with you all the time that you require and need. Her new office is great. I recommend her without hesitation.

I too, have seen Dr. Pineda for several years and I agree with the first response in that she is the most thorough doctor I've ever seen. It is true that there is sometimes a considerable wait time before being seen by her. In my experience it has been because technicians are busy collecting blood and urine, and are having various tests done while you wait. Different tests are performed each time you visit. In my opinion, that is a great way to find potential problems that may not have yet manifested themselves as symptoms. I too, recommend her without hesitation.

I have been with Dr. Pineda for years. If you were seeing her at the Q Street location, then yes the wait was well over 2 hours because they actually had a lab upstairs to perform your routine blood work before you actually went in to see her. This was a plus because it keeps your from having to come back to obtain your results and I appreciated that. At her new locations I am usually in and out within an hour because they no longer have that service avaiable and must send your blood out for testing. All in all, I think she is a very thourough and informed doctor that has always given me great attention with wonderful response times.

I LOVE her!!! If ytou have to wait, she's busy. A good sign. If her office was always free and clear, you'd have to wonder why she had no patients. -Todd M.

Indiana is well known from Frank Berns in MASH malpractice in Indiana to Fred Ridge of Linton Indiana has a bad habit of tampering with test results to cover up there faults. BEWARE MD don't allways mean Good but MEAN Doctor also.
