Dr. Daniel Wank is a terrible, abusive doctor who seriously injured me when he, without my consent or knowledge, ground down one of my back molars and caused unspeakable suffering to me with his ongoing lies and further injuries regarding the issues he caused.
He should be in jail for what he did to me.
He did not care and continually lied about everything when confronted about his bad practices.
The sad truth is that there are so many bad dentists out there who do not concern themselves with the pain they cause you. They only care about money.
Horrifying.

I am also a patient of Dr. Daniel Wank.
I know him as a kind, compassionate individual who couldn't hurt a fly!
Everyone from my office goes to him and everyone loves him. Not one complaint!! He did 20 laminates and has changed my life! I can understand how it is possible to have a problem with someone. What I just can't believe, knowing Dr. Wank and his staff, is that given the opportunity to make the problem right that they certainly would try. I certainly hope that anyone reading these blogs would try to use their common sense. Sounds to me like this unhappy person would treat a speeding ticket with a penalty of death.

My experience with Dr. Wank was a good one. He was professional. His office is very clean and the staff are helpful. I read the above comment and must say that I dont understand how that could be. With me, he explained what he was doing before he did it. Frankly, I wouldnt let anyone do anything to me without knowing what they were going to do before they started. My experience with him was good! I listened to my co-worker who goes to Dr. Wank and I am glad I did!

I guess im the exception to the rule cause his staff was great. Very helpful to me with my whole insurance issue. Its real funny how some people hide behind fake names on here. Maybe if they werent pleasant it could have been due to the way u treated them remember bad behavior is a cancer

Someone close to me went to him to get a tooth checked out. he told her she needed a root canal on the other side of her mouth- tooth which there was no problem. she went ahead, it took him 6-7 visits to finish, would ask her to come in during odd hours, do a little work and ask her if she can come back the following day as he had other appointments; however, the waiting room was empty. She regrets going to him and will never go back. Stay away.

what is the matter with you. How could anyone do something to you without you knowing it!! You actually had no knowledge that your tooth was being ground down- where were you when it happened? On going lies?? further injuries?? Sounds to me like you have many issues not only with this situation but with other dentists as well. Maybe you should look at yourself and start there and not by slandering good peoples reputations with your lies!!

I am a long-time patient of Dr Daniel Wank and have found him to be a very professional and competant dentist. I have gotten several crowns and an implant and have had no further problems. He also takes great care of my gums. I have recommended him to several coworkers.

I just became a patient of Dr. Wank. I had an infected wisdom tooth that has been bothering me for months on and off. He took xrays and showed me the problem. We must have spent 30 minutes with questions back and forth. He explained the risks and the pros and cons of taking out the tooth. He is a PPO provider with my plan and accepted what the plan payed.
frankly he was the least expensive of all the dentists I consulted with.
He was patient, kind, and very understanding of my fear. I would recommend him!

I must say that I really appreciated the way Dr. Wank and his staff handled my insurance. Unlike every dentist office I have been to they were very aware and informative about my dental insurance. They told me what the cost of treatment was and let me know what my copay was. Dr. Wank gave me several altenatives and what the PPO fees would be. I really had no idea how my insurance worked and at least he seemed to care about my cost and was willing to spend time to explain so I could utilize my insurance to the max for me.

I would like to write about my experience with Dr. Wank and his office staff. It was Sunday morning about 4am. I was in horrible pain and knew if I went to the emergency room they would have just given me a pain pill and told me to see a dentist. My roomate called Dr. Wank and his answering service got in touch with him and he actually met me at his office at 6am on a Sunday morning. He got me out of pain!! Imagine, 6am on a Sunday. He was concerned, sympathetic and professional. He accepted my insurance and even called me later in the day to see how I was doing. I subsequently went back for him to finish what he had started. He worked efficiently, was maticulous and didn't mind my many questions. His office manager was business like yet friendly as well. It was an over all positive experience for me especially for a dentist. Thank you.

I recently saw a dentist because of a tooth ache. He wanted to start numerous procedures and I just didn't feel comfortable. A coworker of mine refered me to Dr. Wank He removed the filling and told me he could place a liner under it and temperary filling and to wait a week to see what happens. I listened to him. I went back a week later and he put a permanent filling in. so far all is well. He made it so quick and simple. He was honest with me and did all he could do to keep it simple. I think he's OK.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wank's for over seven years. He and his staff have always been kind and professional. Several months ago, after taking x-rays, Dr. Wank spotted a decaying tooth and mentioned that I may need a root canal. When I told him the tooth wasn't bothering me, we decided to wait. Several weeks later, the tooth did hurt, and Dr. Wank performed the root canal, as needed. I recommended him to all my friends and co-workers.

My experience with Daniel Wank has been fantastic for over 10 years now. It took me years of frustration with incompetent dentists both in the US and Europe before I found Dr Wank. Since then, I have never had an issue which was not fixed immediately and competently. Daniel Wank knows what he is doing and I can not relate to the negative opinion at all.

Dr. Wank is a fine Dentist!
He was kind, understanding of my dental phobias and patient with me. His staff was accomodating and professional. He retreated a tooth that was previously poorly done. He accepted my insurance and I was happy to pay the copay. I was taken promptly and only wish that my other doctors were more like him! I highly recommend him. Thank you

I had a very good experience at Dr. Wanks office. He was professional and honest. His front desk staff could not have been more accomodating. I have had plenty of dentistry over the years so I know what to look for in a dentist. Dr. Wank took time to explain things and was only concerned with my well being. I think he is a wonderful Dentist

I found Dr. Wank through Zoc Doc. His office answered the phone and was very nice to deal with.
I broke my front tooth and of course had to fix it right away. Dr. Wank saw me and bonded the tooth and did a perfect job. My last dentist tried to sell me on a laminate or cap and Dr. Wank was honest enough to only do what was needed. I will go back for a cleaning and check up but just want to write something nice and honest. He and his office were professional and courteous. Just what I need in a Dentist. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend him. Thank you

I was referred to Dr. Wank from NYU college of dentistry. I had a tooth ache and didn't know where to go. He saw me after hours and got me out of pain. I had a huge cavity and Dr. Wank was kind enough to go back to his office in the night and help me. He explained what needed to be done by showing it to me on the xray. It was obvious at that point that I needed to remove the root. All I can say is that when he was done the pain was gone. Thank you NYU for finding him for me!!

I must say that my office visit was very good. I was taken promptly at my appt. time. The staff was very nice and helpful. I found Dr. Wank to be very professional. His knowledge was clear and evident. He solved a painful tooth with a simple filling. He worked efficiently and was very fair with his fee. All in all I was very happy.

I agree that Dr. Wank is a bit of a Sociopathic guy who can fool some people but not all people. He treated a friend of mine and they were also badly treated and this person will never go back. He does not have a professional office and uses older, outdated practices and very bad products that are toxic to your health. He is not at all concerned about the "whole body" approach to dentistry and does not understand how he can hurt someone's immune system if toxic products are put into the mouth. This guy has proven himself to me and my friend to be unprofessional.

Dr. Wank has caused me severe pain and $2000 to treat an infection caused by leaving a piece of file in my gum during a root canal. Also, a colleague (who unfortunately recommended Dr. Wank to me when I first moved to NY) LOST A TOOTH because if Dr. Wank's ineptitude. The man should lose his license - I'm looking into legal recourse. I also agree that he seems kind of sociopathic - seems really friendly at first, but doesn't seem to have any real concern for patients.

Dr Wank is rude, argues with his office staff while treating patients, doesn't explain anything clearly and couldn't care less about you or your mouth provided he gets your insurance. He will make you come back again and again to supposedly finish treatments he has started simply to charge you more in fees. I agree that his office manager is unprofessional, rude and shouldn't be doing a job dealing with the public. That type of personality is better of behind the scenes where no one has to see or hear it.

i agree. there seemed to be something weird going on with him and his "office assistant". they were always arguing, she was always screaming at him and he seemed to be "out of it" some of the time and really "up" other times. he made me sign something in the middle of a root canal because he couldn't get "deep enough into the root" to extracate the decay. i had to sign because i couldn't leave the office right in the middle of the proceedure and go to someone else. i finished that proceedure and never went back. he seems very neurotic and i am surprised he hasn't been investigated.

I had a small decay in a tooth, I did not feel any pain and I planed to get a filing. However, Dr. Wank said I need a root canal. Besides the amount that my insurance covers, I paid around $1,000 from pocket for a root canal and crown.
I am not saying Dr. Wank does unnecessary root canal. I do not know. It is just very weird that the doctor did not explain well or show any evidence that why a patient needs the procedure.
Surely, it's also my own fault that I let someone pull out a whole tooth without fully understand the procedure, sigh...

I agree that Dr. Wank is money hungry dentist who's interested in how much money he can put in his pocket regardless of his patient's well-being. He took out a filling of mine which I had for over 12 years to tell me I needed a root canal. I had no pain or issues with the tooth but he wanted to proceed with the root canal which meant more money for him. I refused to let him perform the root canal. Unfortunately, my tooth has been hurting since he replaced the filling. I have extreme sensation to cold liquids and my tooth hurts even when I'm not eating/drinking.
I think a criminal investigation needs to be launched into his shady practices and lack of concern for patients' well-being.

I am sorry to say that I must agree with most of these posts... His office staff if very rude not at all what you would expect from a Dentist located in this area... Dr. Wank also left me with the impression that he do whatever he could to get money from my insurance company - going so far as to ask me if I had spent all my dental insurance money alloted for this year 2010 and the last 2009 - if not he could play around with things as far as money/insurance coverage was concerned. I have stayed away - not very comfortable with him anymore. Sadly, I really need to see a dentist and now I have no one I trust. And, I also witnessed the fighting between him and his office Manager. And, didn't like her bulldog attitude when she spoke to me.

Dr. Wank did a root canal procedure to the SAME tooth on me and my husband's teeth. The crown he put on has fallen out, my gums bleed, I have headaches, a decaying root because of infection and am going to lose my tooth! From reading these other complaints, I get his game now. It doesn't matter what you come in for. He does- gasp!- A ROOT CANAL!!! WE need to make sure this man loses his license and stops hurting people forever!

Dr.wank is awesome, unfortunaly the older woman in the front is extremeley unprofessional, she couldnt find my appointment for my cleaning and she began calling me by another patients name. it took the other young lady to assist her in finding my appointment, once that was cleared she just continued to call me by my first name as if we have been friends for years, sorry to say, but because of this lady i wont be making any recomadations or returning back there myself
