Looks like Britney's "no-shows" will be more extensive than we thought, not even American Idol wants Britney. Idol's exec producer, Nigel Lythgoe wanted Britney as an Idol mentor last year, but was waiting for her to pull it together, so he postponed Brit's stint as Idol mentor until the 2008 season. "Oops, I did it again." You know its bad when not even American Idol wants Britney. It's obvious to everyone, including American Idol, that Britney is in no shape to do anything except detox. Did you see the video of her driving on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic in LA recently? Oh yeah, and that "illness" she claimed was the reason for missing her ever important depo, was the same illness that caused her to stay out until 2am that same day.
Britney has had multiple chances to redeem her credibility, but not even American Idol wants her. The power of a popular show pulling 7 million viewers can help any career, but you've got to be able to show up in the first place. Poor Brit, you know you've hit rock bottom when K-Fed seems like the "better" parent of the two…
