My wife’s cousin just adopted a baby girl from China. I want to congratulate her family and all adopting parents to opening their hearts and homes to children in desperate need of a loving family. I have traveled the globe and seen the devastating poverty in many third world countries. Orphaned and abandoned children in these countries face even greater challenges. The orphanages are often underfunded and understaffed. Many of the children suffer from malnutrition and the lack of basic medical care. It is wonderful that so many couples are willing to navigate the bureaucratic adoption obstacle course to give a child a loving home and brighter future. Welcome Baby R. - you are loved.

This is great! I always love hearing stories of adoption. I have two cousins who are adopted and it's been one of the best things to happen to the family.
