Trying to figure out something fun to do, my girlfriend and I decided to play a round of golf. Near our house is a park with 18 holes that are all no longer then 50 yards. This was an activity that we now do every week and it only costs $1.50 to play. For someone without a job this is pretty affordable and very entertaining. In fact, I had my first hole-in-one on this course.

Also: Unlike some other sports, it's something you'll be able to enjoy for many, many years. Congratulations on the hole-in-one!

It's so much more fun to be doing something active and sports related when you're gettinng to know someone like....hiking, bowling, golfing, tennis, even just walking. You learn much more about that person when you are being competitive or working together to achieve a goal. It all boils down to communication and you lose out doing that at a movie where you're an observer and broke from the $10 charge!

You should give Urban Golf a try. It's free (other than maybe having to buy an old club at a tag sale). Just grab an old tennis ball, set up a 'course' in your neighborhood and flog away! In fact, you don't even need holes--use old dumpsters, garbage cans, abandoned cars, etc. as your target and let the ball fly!

hey that's exciting... congrats! I think I'll have to try that course some day... especially since it is so inexpensive.
