When I first saw the article titled Kid-friendly Acupuncture in Parenting magazine I thought, "here we go again, some new age, very expensive quasi-healthy theory." But as I began to read what amounts to about a snippet of information on acupuncture for kids I began to think of it as a good alternative. I mean if acupuncture for kids could help reduce allergies and asthma then maybe it’s an alternative I should look at - except for the needle part. But now there's a new form of acupuncture for kids that's non-invasive. Yep, that's right as in no needles. This form uses tapping and massaging along the same points as the needle version of acupuncture for kids with similar results. I would have liked a more complete story though, a more thorough analysis of the pros and cons of this type of treatment. But hey, if it'll stop my kid from wetting the bed (yes this is one of the claims), then I'm all for it. Where do I sign up?
